Utah Division of Indian Affairs Requests Information for Utah Tribes in Upcoming County Planning Efforts

The Utah Division of Indian Affairs requests information that will help Utah tribes understand and engage in
any upcoming County Planning efforts and/or creation of congressional legislation in San Juan County. It is
our understanding that the Washington County plan and associated Lands Bill has raised interest throughout
the state in pursuing county land-use planning efforts.

Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s on the Proposed Bears Ears National Monument Management Plan

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) appreciated the opportunity to meet with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) on December 3rd to discuss its October 4th response to the request to review their finding of “no adverse effect” for the referenced undertaking. Our advisory comments were requested on September 9, 2019, pursuant to section 800.5(c)(2) of the regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), “Protection of Historic Properties” (36 CFR Part 800).
